Relics: Raleigh in 20 Years

Rooted in Community, Growing Toward Tomorrow
NC State’s Sustainability Stewards invite you to submit your work for Relics: Raleigh in 20 Years, a combined discussion panel and art showcase celebrating Raleigh’s sustainable future — from its agricultural roots and physical infrastructure to its cultural identity and interdisciplinary spirit. Whether you’re a researcher, artist, or maker of any kind, this is your chance to contribute, connect, and be part of a conversation about what Raleigh looks like in the decades ahead.
What to Expect
The event features a discussion panel and art showcase, followed by a walk audit demonstration leading to an outdoor exhibition of art, research, and lunch — alongside food-focused workshops including pickling and bread-making.
Who Should Submit?
If research, art, print, or material culture connected to community, sustainability, or Raleigh’s growth are part of what you do, this showcase is for you!
Why Participate?
- Share your work at NC State’s annual environmental symposium, this year centered on the theme of food
- Showcase research or creative work spanning disciplines — from fermentation science to pottery and felt
- Engage audiences by transforming research into meaningful outreach materials
- Connect with a community of creators, thinkers, and advocates shaping Raleigh’s sustainable future
Submit your work HERE, and make sure to drop off your art by Monday, April 13th!
