Make-A-Thon is NC State’s sustainability innovation competition. Collaborating in cross-disciplinary teams, students will research, design and prototype solutions to a sustainability challenge, then pitch their idea to community and industry judges.

Yes, there are prizes for the winning teams: $4,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place and $1,000 for third place. Prizes will also be given for the best prototype, best integration of social responsibility and a judges’ choice award.

Big ideas require bold thoughts that bridge diverse perspectives. Undergraduate and graduate students representing all 11 colleges are welcome to apply.
