The UN Sustainable Development Goals Roundtable
March 1, 2021 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeThe Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” The United Nations General Assembly set those goals in 2015, and the assembly intends for them to be achieved by 2030. During an interactive virtual roundtable discussion, we will talk about the 17 goals, why the goals are important and how students can get involved with them on campus.
Leading this roundtable discussion will be:
- Heidi Hobbs, an associate professor of political science in the School of Public and International Affairs and director of faculty engagement for Global Learning for All.
- Seth Murray, director of the international studies program and director of Undergraduate Programs in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies.
This event is part of Sustainable Development Goals Action and Awareness Week at NC State (March 1-5).
