Climate Change and Business: What every MBA Needs to Know

November 4, 2021 | 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

MBAs, need to get up to speed on climate risk?  Climate change is one of the biggest challenges to 21st century economic systems and one of the threats that today’s business leaders are most concerned about.  Pressure is coming from investors, consumers, and employees for companies to disclose their climate risks, invest in “net zero” business strategies, and improve the resilience of their operations, while investors are looking to capitalize on the estimated $2+ trillion market for new investments in clean energy, electric vehicles, carbon removal technologies, and other climate tech.  Join us for an overview of the most important business and investment implications of climate, as well as resources for learning more.  Featuring speakers: Michael Lenox, PhD, Senior Associate Dean and Chief Strategy Officer, Darden School of Business, University of Virginia and co-author of The Decarbonization Imperative; Radhika Lalit, MBA, Manager, RMI and Chief Strategy Officer, Mission Possible Partnership; and Katie Kross, MBA, Managing Director, Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE), Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.
