BSC Career Speaker Series: Haley Cook

February 18 | 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join the Career Speaker Series hosted by the Business Sustainability Collaborative! This series is designed for students interested in gaining insights into business sustainability careers.

Haley Cook is a Senior Engineering Project Manager with Charlotte Water and an environmental engineer with a passion for horticulture and sustainability—ask about her plants! A Western North Carolina native, Haley earned her Environmental Engineering degree from NC State in 2017 and recently completed her Undergraduate Horticulture Certificate. She also enjoys gardening and spending time with her two dogs.

Haley’s career journey includes internships during college, consulting work after graduation, and a year of service with AmeriCorps before joining Charlotte Water as a Project Coordinator. After earning her Professional Engineering license and advancing through roles as a Project Coordinator and Project Manager, she now serves as a Senior Project Manager on the Design and Construction team. She oversees the design of water and sewer pipe extensions while also supporting sustainability efforts, electrification, facility improvements, and in-house design initiatives at Charlotte Water.

Haley believes that working for the City provides a unique opportunity to engineer real change and make a meaningful impact on the community. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from her experience in engineering, sustainability, and public service!
