North Carolina has a rich heritage in the textiles and fashion industries. But as evidenced by the challenge of balancing water resources and textile industry needs, sustainability has not always been the top concern.
Redress Raleigh aims to change that.
This local fashion company has a strong focus on sustainability, creating an annual fashion show featuring designs made solely from recycled, reclaimed and/or sustainably produced materials. Having attracted hundreds of attendees to its sold out shows in previous years, Redress Raleigh is hoping to build on that success this year, hosting a two day eco-fashion and textiles conference from the 30th – 31st of March at the Raleigh Marriott City Center.
Speakers include designers and entrepreneurs from across the US, and Friday night will feature the eco fashion show and marketplace, open to conference attendees and members of the public alike.
Tickets for the fashion show and marketplace start at $20. Tickets for the full conference cost $75.
