NC State University is dedicated to delivering exceptional and innovative learning experiences to all students, regardless of whether they are learning in person, online, or through hybrid courses. As online education rapidly expands, DELTA’s Course Quality (CQ) Program plays a crucial role in supporting NC State instructors by providing essential training, resources, and research. Through a partnership with the globally recognized Quality Matters (QM) standards, the CQ Program empowers instructors to create high-quality, engaging digital learning environments. With over 14,000 students benefiting from QM-certified courses each year, the program ensures that online and hybrid courses at NC State continue to thrive. Check out this article that features our director and Associate Professor of the Practice, Jessica Yinka Thomas, as she recently completed training to become a CQ Program Faculty Mentor.

“The Course Quality Program informed revisions to all of my courses to bring them in alignment with the QM rubric,” said new CQ Faculty Mentor Jessica Thomas, an associate professor of practice in the Poole College of Management. “The CQ Program has had a strong positive impact on both my undergraduate and my graduate students who have commented directly to me and in course evaluations on the accessibility, clarity and impact of my courses.”
