BSC Showcases Key Initiatives to NC State Board of Trustees

On Friday, February 7, the Business Sustainability Collaborative (BSC) team joined faculty, staff, and students from the Poole College of Management to present to the NC State Board of Trustees, highlighting the university’s growing commitment to sustainable business education and career development.
Jessica Yinka Thomas, BSC Director, introduced the new Business Sustainability Certificate, a cross-campus initiative that has already attracted a diverse group of students eager to integrate sustainability into their careers. She was joined by NC State alumnus Andre Little, the first graduate of the program, who shared his experience and how the certificate has shaped his professional path.
Rachel Haynes, BSC Program Manager, presented on the launch of the Sustainability Career Development Program, designed to provide students with the tools, resources, and connections needed to pursue impactful careers in sustainability.
The presentation underscored BSC’s role in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and preparing the next generation of business leaders to drive sustainable change.
