Global Entrepreneurship Week at NC State

November 16 - 20, 2015

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. 

During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

The GEW events at NC State connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.

Speed Networking for Social Entrepreneurs

Location: Nelson Hall, Port City Java Commons
Description: Speed Networking for Social Entrepreneurs is designed to connect NC State students and local social entrepreneurs for a fun and interactive networking session. Join us for Speed Networking at 4:30pm followed by open networking and a reception at 5:30pm.

Community of Nonprofit Scholars (CONS)

Description: Students, faculty, and nonprofit leaders are invited to a presentation and discussion on the internationally acclaimed Birthing Project USA. Ms. Hall-Trujillo will discuss the challenges and accomplishments of leading this dynamic nonprofit. Sustainable Spirits

Innovation Hall Breakfast

Description: In collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Initiative, a casual breakfast gathering will be held on campus at Innovation Hall, the campus site for NC State’s entrepreneurship living and learning community. Presentation and discussion will focus on social entrepreneurship, including the cross disciplinary skills required to launch and sustain a nonprofit. Dinners With Purpose

Descripion: The culminating event of Ms. Hall-Trujillo’s visit to NC State will be a casual buffet style dinner with presentation and conversation centering on how to find our passion and a purposeful path in our studies and work. Students, faculty and staff across the campus are encouraged to attend as are community leaders in both the social and business sectors.
