Roundtable goals:

  • engage in a collaborative discussion to connect the B Corp academic community
  • share best practices in research, curriculum development and experiential learning
  • develop connections, programs and resources that will advance innovative research, engage students in real world learning and strengthen the global B Corp community.

Agenda

Opening (15 minutes) – Craig Dalen, B Lab
–  Welcome, objectives and goals, lightning introductions, overview of the day, resources for educators, update on B Lab

Curriculum Development (30 minutes) – Rosanna Garcia, NC State University
– Participants share challenges and insights in bring the B Corp model into the classroom
B Impact Teams (30 minutes) – Jessica Thomas, NC State University
– Participants share challenges and insights from their experiences building B Impact teams and discuss opportunities for collaboration

Research (30 minutes) – Rosanna Garcia, NC State University
– Participants share relevant ongoing and planned research and discuss collaboration opportunities
Next steps (15 minutes) – Craig Dalen, B Lab
– Next steps in building the academic B Corp community and identify 3-4 topics for follow-on discussion during lunch
Break for lunch

After our roundtable, we will join the B Corp Champions Retreat programming and attend a series of TED-like talks by leadin g B Corps from across the world. After the talks, a street festival with B Corps and music will provide another rich time for connecting with B Corp leaders and educators. Once you register for the academic roundtable, you will be automatically registered for the talks and street festival.
